Mainsheet:
A rope that controls how fast the boat goes.
Rudder:
The 'steering wheel'.
Jib:
A small sail that sits on the front of the boat.
Spinnaker:
A large or small sail that whizzes out of the front of the boat when a rope is pulled.
Hull:
The air-tight chamber that keeps the boat afloat. It is the basic structure of the boat.
Mast:
A long pole that the main sail is attatched to.
Baton:
A flexible rod of plastic that makes the sail rigid.
